Festes de Santa Eulalia – 09.02 – 12.02

One of the most traditional fests in Barcelona, the Gothic district of Barcelona is full of giants, dragons, demons, beasts and visitors.  The program offers a large variety of traditional and modern events such as the procession of the Laies, the little church of Santa Eulàlia, the castellera party, the dances of sardanas and the correfoc.

Llum BCN: the festival of lights – 16.02 – 18.02

As in other cities in the world, Barcelona also celebrates a festival of lights. During three days the most iconic buildings of the Ciutat Vella in Barcelona are fully illuminated with beautiful and artistic designs. For the projections, different artist around the world shows their principal work. The main spot is at the Generalitat in Plaça Sant Jaume.

Barcelona Carnival 2018 – 08.02 -14.02

It’s one of the most popular events of the year in Barcelona. The celebration takes a whole week, the parades, theatre and dancers take over the streets, traditional food is been offer everywhere and there is, of course, a King! Carnestoltes, the King of fools. On the first day of the Carnival, the big party takes place during the Arribo, where Carnestoltes make his first appearance. This year the Arribo takes place at Plaça de Sant Jaume, home to the City Hall. Everyone just needs to put a mask on and join the party.
