The hotel was renovated in 1998 and is located next to Placa Catalunya and the Ramblas, real key centers in Barcelona. This Modernist building was built in 1898 by the famous architect Emilio Salas y Cortes (a professor of Gaudi). The entry hall with the marble staircase leading to the first floor has been preserved from the main building. On the first floor you will find impressive mahogany doors from Cuba and the original moulded ceiling and dome.

The hotel offers 145 rooms and 3 suites featuring mahogany Cuban doors, original paintings and elaborate moulded ceiling designs. All of the guest rooms come fully equipped for the guests' maximum comfort: interactive satellite TV with pay-per-view movies, Canal +, mini bar, safe deposit box and air conditioning.
