The Hotel Derby is a deluxe hotel, located 5 minutes from the trade fair and in easy reach of the Barcelona Airport. The hotel is divided into 2 separate buildings, many of the rooms feature small balconies overlooking a flowered courtyard.
It is located right in the centre of Barcelona, with its duplex rooms and junior
suites being its most unique feature. It is also home to the paintings of many
famous artists such as Dali, Gordillo and Jorge Castillo, to name but a few.
A team of English-inspired designers imported a British aesthetic into these hotels, and the pleasing results include well oiled hardwood panels, soft lighting, and comfortably upholstered armchairs. Another feature which sets this contemporary hotel aprt from the others is its collection of art on the premises, including paintings by Joan Miro, hung in the restaurant.
The Gran Derby Hotel boasts two restaurants, the Epsom and The Times, both
serving delicious fresh dishes and adorned with Miro lithographies. One of the
most unique features of this hotel is its duplex rooms and junior suites.
Less British in feel than the public rooms, the guest rooms and suites are outfitted with simple furniture in a variety of decorative styles each one comfortable and quiet. Each room is appointed with parquet flooring, satellite television with Canal Plus, in-room safe and mini-bar. the hotel offers valet service, as well as laundry service. The Hotel Derby has an onsite cafe, a restaurant and a "Scotch Bar". This hotel is convenient to fine dining, shopping entertainment venues.
